Found while searching online: Saginaw News Dec. 1, 1899:

"Mrs Charles Carr has been sick for the last two years and doctors have been unable to tell what was the matter with her. She was taken with a violent fit of coughing Sunday and threw up a snake eight inches long. Mr. Carr has the curiosity preserved in alcohol."

I am not related to the lady.
