Trying sweet potato chili today has anyone ever tried this.

Replacing the beans with sweet potatoes and after it’s cooking for awhile. I’m gonna try just adding the mix of cornbread by pouring it on top of chili in crockpot and letting it cook for another 2.5 hours to set up.

My 18 year old isn’t a fan of beans well beans in chili other beans he’s ok with after all these years I told Boog the chocolate lab now we find this out about Boy.

Sweet potato adds a great taste and heartiness. Let us know how your cornbread tactic works.

I feel I may have added just bit more liquid and then from beef broth in chili so it’s very soft as in did not set up correctly Viva la so it’s like cornbread dumplings.

Plan was I wanted it to be firm and then cover it with honey.

There is a health food grocery store in town that also has prepared foods and two hot soups every day. The soups and chilis often have sweet potatoes or yams in them and they taste great.

Yet I have to next time take into account the liquid with cornbread and consider the beef broth already in it.

Cuz cornbread is kind loose but it’s being chowed down.

Tomorrow chicken pot pie.

Diced up sweet potatoes I used 2 large
Beef broth maybe 2 cups
I used 2 pounds ground turkey
Spices your choice
Chili powder
Cumin
Salt
Paprika
Can diced tomatoes
Jalapeños
Bag frozen corn
Diced large white onion
I also tossed in two spoons of garlic from jar.

Next time Diamond dog I’m just going to do cornbread separately as I said between mix and adding it on top chili I think beef broth and mixture made it to soft it didn’t set up kind like dumplings.

It sounds like a good use for the small white Japanese sweet potatoes I sometimes see in stores: no amount of butter seems to make them tender, so they might hold up well in a chili.

over coconut rice. It is a vegetarian spin off of a beef stew from Weight Watchers.

Pinterest has a bunch of sweet potato stews

I never liked sweet potatoes growing up but these things take it up several notches
