What's for Dinner, Thurs., May 4, 2023

Italian cabbage steaks. Basically sliced cabbage with sausage patty on top, mozzarella.

Saw this on Pinterest and have always wanted to make it. First time.

Probably a tossed salad if I'm still hungry.

Pomegranate kombucha.

in the hopes of ditching the antibiotics and being able to eat. Got chuck eye steaks, which have been dry brining since this morning. Going to be seared to medium-rare in the cast iron skillet with butter, garlic and capers.

B. will have a baked potato and I'll have a sweet potato, both with butter and gorgonzola, and fresh steamed asparagus with butter and fresh lemon.

Lots of butter on the menu tonight.

Not sure what inexpensive cut, but seasoned overnight and pounded into submission. Pan fried and turned out good.

Lima beans
Garden salad

and asparagus risotto. Oh, I'm eating it now. The picatta is a little salty, needs less capers. But, mmmm delicious!

We both worked all day putting out our garden. One squash plant already has blooms on it.
