(30,076 posts)plant my sweet potatoes. Your squash is already blooming and I have two grape cherry tomato plants with blooms and little green tomatoes. Sure hope we don't have another frost.

Congrats, however.

(22,767 posts)B. had his hard egg, yogurt, half a banana (he likes small ones, our order had large ones this week) and half a ruby grapefruit.
I had a small piece of strawberry cream cheese danish and a bowl of shredded wheat and bran, added some raisins.
B. put up my hummingbird feeder yesterday outside my window behind and beside the computer, and I made some sugar water for it. They started hitting it right away yesterday and have been at it heavy this morning, so I've been sitting here watching them.

(37,981 posts)so glad I have two separate gardens with greenhouses and peace and quiet to go to, and they're only a short distance away from my home garden, too.
re this, however:
so I've been sitting here watching them.
I saw a little blue robin egg on the sidewalk. It had been broken open. Made me kinda' sad, but then....nature.
I don't know how it got so far from the nest. We don't really have a lot of predators around the garden and it's fully enclosed.
The next thing I found was a blue football. Threw that over the fence to the soccer field. Let them pick it up there. I was glad they didn't break into the garden to get it.
Take a photo sometime of your hummingbird feeder! I would love to see it. I have one, too, but I haven't put it out. I do so love hummingbirds and dragon flies. Bumblebees and butterflies.
