I was thinking about making a Buddha bowl and I have all the ingredients but realized I didn't really want that.
So I've opted for Asian sticky chicken thighs, except I have to go to the Whole Foods. Here are the ingredients, which I will just be putting in the slow cooker. I'm going to make quite a few to enjoy over the weekend.
chicken thighs
grated ginger
minced garlic
ketchup
sriracha
honey
cilantro
Prol'ly have couscous on the side.
Had a big salad for lunch, so nuttin' else.
For dessert, I'm having a fudgesicle. The ones I got from Aldi are super-good; I was surprised by the quality. And only 90 calories!!! (Fit and Active label)
Will have with decaf coffee.

(22,767 posts)with my usual non-traditional toppings of sliced black olives, green onions, extra sharp cheddar, sour cream and Frank's Red Hot. (I always liked Skyline when I lived in Ohio, but don't like it with beans on top.)
It's starting to get hot here, so I bought some sugar free Popsicle Fudgesicles for an occasional treat.
The hummingbird feeder isn't anything special. Just your standard cheap plastic one, but they don't seem to mind that it's not terribly posh.

(515 posts)Saturday's 'Eat Out Day', so we went to an Indian place nearby, one of our favorites. DH had shrimp biryani and I had a lamb and mushroom curry. Both were fantastic. We each ate half of our meal and brought the other half home for later in the week. It's really not so expensive, when you figure you're getting two meals out of it.
I came home and re-stocked the pantry with Chinese hot oil, because I used the last of the last batch a couple weeks ago. The house smells really Szechuan right now and I've got over 3/4 of a pint sitting in the fridge. That should last a while.

(70,122 posts)Mushrooms, julienned red pepper & shallots sautéed in garlic, white wine, lemon, & olive oil. Other spices/herbs were: fresh basil & oregano, black pepper, a pinch of cayenne, and ground coriander.
Shrimp pan-cooked in butter.
Then, I tossed them all together, including a broad egg noodle.
Went super fast. We were eating 40 minutes after I started.
