What's for Dinner, Thurs., May 11, 2023

Meeting my friend at a Japanese place shortly. Temaki.

I've chosen a few other items from the menu that I might order:

shishito peppers
smoked honey miso

honey butter corn ribs
aonori, lime

For the temaki, I think ocean trout and
kanpachi pineapple, chipotle, tomato, onion, koji.

and a cup of haddock chowder (something pre-made (frozen) that we got from the food pantry)

Ice cream for dessert. Last night I called it coffee chocolate chip. Technically, it's named "Rhode Island Lighthouse Coffee" and it's from Hood--its "New England Creamery" line. It's really quite wonderful. I don't eat much ice cream, but this one is one I make an exception for.
