(11,180 posts)Oatmeal with blueberries later. I was up all Friday night after getting the first shingles shot. Swollen arm, fever, headache. Tylenol helped.

(22,767 posts)then went back to bed after a hard night with little sleep (as usual.) I just ate a small package of salad topping mix: candied pecans, dried cranberries and pepitas, just to put something on my stomach. I imagine when he gets up again, I'll be making the same breakfast as yesterday, since I have plenty of leftover pancake batter in the fridge.
In the meantime, making fresh batches of yogurt and dark chocolate orange flavored edibles.

at the store and almost bought some but then I noticed I had all those ingredients, so I said "Self, whachoo' doing paying somebody to put things in a bag for you?" And put them back.
And indeed went home and mixed up my own and now I have them on my salads on a regular basis. Just replenished the dried cranberries. Love them. Also bought a bag of toasted coconut almonds to try new mixes.
Anyway, I am so hungry now I could scream. I have half-heartedly warmed up a scallion pancake before my attention span was interrupted, grated Monterey Jack cheese ready to melt over it, and the plan is to sautee some baby turnip greens and put them over the top. Sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top.
Spicy chai tea.

on edit: I added olive-artichoke pesto to the roll-up. Simply delicious. I also put the scallion pancake under the broiler until it turned a light tan and puffed up a bit; then I added the cheese, melted it, then the turnip greens.
If I had it to do over again, I would chop the baby turnip greens a little more.
No half 'n half in the house, so I had two coffee mochis.

(22,767 posts)so no sense in me making them for as little as I even use them.

(37,981 posts)as a criticism! I didn't mean it that way at all.
Just that I am a sucker for this kind of stuff so I'm trying to bring a little common sense to my life!

(515 posts)The Irish steel-cut kind. I started them last night, so I'd just have to boil them up this morning.
