Watching Food Network and some cook says the South (presumably US) makes the food of love.
I think the South proclaims too much.
In any event. To you, what is the food of love?
Italian to me. Starting with antipasto, olives. stuffed pastas, meat balls, red sauce, wine fresh bread, cheese,
.cannellonis, gelato
.
And pizza.

(23,415 posts)cay...tea double boiled. I don't much like meat, but I have been known to follow up a swordfish steak...this was on the bosphorus, so it was probably very fresh... with a second swordfish steak for dessert!!! I'm not kidding!!! I don't like desserts that are too sweet, so that lets out baklava. Ouzo, yuck...no licorice!!! There are some Turkish cooks on YouTube, but I'd ignore the potato, pasta based dishes.

It's a bit more prep work because you are dealing with leaks, but the soup is better.
I figure it counts as the food of (platonic) love since I make it for relatives and friends all the time.
In fact, I have a standing list of folks who want a couple quarts every Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I make a couple chili cauldrons' worth every fall.
This is the recipe I use, except I use Krakow Nights and I skip the Rosemary. I use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream too.
