I found half a bag of dried yellow split peas long forgotten in the cupboard. I simmered them with salt, pepper and garlic. In spite of their long expired status they made a tasty soup. In hindsight I should have put in some onion and maybe celery and carrots.

My sandwich was Black Forest ham and Swiss cheese on whole wheat with a lot of tomato and lettuce and topped with a generous squirt of spicy brown mustard.

Homemade. The First Mate made the dough and set it in the sun as we sailed north in the Chesapeake Bay.

It’ll be a vegetarian pie with a thin crust. Tomato sauce then red, green and yellow peppers, thinly sliced onions, mushrooms and garlic. Mozzarella, Parmesan and Asiago cheeses.

Salad of Romaine, red onion rings and garlic croutons.

Our last bottle of Chianti. Time to go ashore to go shopping! Next stop is Solomons Island, MD.

power for 5 hours. Thought I might have to drive into town and get something for us to eat, but our power finally came back on.

Grilling a pork steak in the air fryer right now. Toss salad is ready and microwaving two ears of sweet corn. Orange 🍊 before bedtime.

asparagus, and onion, with rice. Which reminds me - I need to slice and marinate the meat in a ginger/soy sauce
