Related: About this forumSorry to say, bought Lindt Intense Dark Chocolate Intense Orange twice in 10 days,
and both times chocolate was OLD, with that whitish color.
Returned first, and same with 2d, same 'sell by' date, 1/24.

(838 posts)There are some joys in life upon which we depend. So sorry this happened to you. Sometimes I dip tangerine slices in chocolate sauce for a similar flavor. 😋

(136,689 posts)Thinking hot weather my have disturbed the chocolate.
Daughter told me about an interesting coffee house nearby, so hoping to try some new things. Here are a couple:
Lemonade is back again! Our fresh squeezed lemonade is the perfect refresher for the spring and summer season. Try it with our hibiscus, lavender, or coconut syrups for a twist on our classic lemonade. *** If youre also looking for a pick me up, add a pump of Lotus plant based energy syrup. Available in a low cal option called Skinny Lotus, or for just a burst of energy w/ no added flavors, try the Lotus Power Up!
The Garden Wrap
A wrap with hummus, lettuce, tomato, roasted red peppers, red onion, cucumber, avocado and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

(106,647 posts)It is perfectly safe to eat but I suspect there has been some attempt to chill the chocolate in or after shipping during these extreme heatwaves. Preferentially, dark chocolate should be stored at around 65F and at constant humidity.
With temperatures as high as we've seen this summer, I'm afraid this is going to be the new normal. Like fine red wine, dark chocolate needs consistent temperatures.

(1,230 posts)My husband does the grocery shopping once a week since he does most of the cooking. He brings me a chocolate treat every time he gets groceries. Learned that from my sweet daddy, of blessed memory. Many thanks, dad. Ldor vador. From generation to generation.
