Green beans from my garden on the side. It is a rare rainy August day here in MT. I wanted some comfort food...hoping this day of steady rain puts a damper in the wildfires in the region.

August is almost always very dry. I can almost feel the earth breath a sigh of relief. Did TX get any of the moisture from Hurricane Hilary? I wondered of TX was too far east.

Wife and I had Texas Roadhouse Roadkill. Roadkill is a chopped sirloin steak smothered in grilled onions, mushrooms and cheese.

Caprese salad. Slow cooked fresh tomato sauce with meatballs.

I’m harvesting 3-6 lbs a day.
