If you do, oyu can either click the lower left to go to YouTube or you can click on the "copy link" in the top right corner and copy the link to view in a new window. If now, I don't know what to tell you, sorry!

Not everything should be nuked at full power is the gist.

When you set Power to 50% that means the power is actually 'on' 50% of the time, the other 50% of the time it's not, cycling back and forth.

During those breaks, ostensibly, heat you built during 'on' phase will move toward the center by natural processes.

The assertion is that for certain foods the end result is better, more even heating, less drying/burning on the outside with insides remaining under-warmed.

Seems logical, really the trick is knowing what % of power for what specific foods and the density of the sample you're cooking.

Everyone (she says) overcooks their food by cooking it at 100 percent power which cooks the top of the food but the middle and bottom don’t get done and most just add time. If you use 50 percent power, it will cook the food evenly with the time you indicated so you have a perfect dish at a perfect temperature. She used butter as an example where she put a stick of butter in the microwave and when done, it was a mess of partial melting and some solid. If you put it at 30 percent power with same time, it comes out perfectly for spreading bread and whatever else you want. Hope that helps at least a little.

I have a plastic rice cooker that goes into the microwave. I can cook rice for about 4 people in 10/11 minutes. No sticking to the pot. Just open it up and stir when done to let it dry out a bit.

Now I have to look up my directions to try and use the Power button.
