I get unsalted roasted almonds at Aldi and when I need a crunch, have a few. I get the dark chocolate with almonds at Aldi, too. 2 pieces with a few extra almonds is a nice reward

I am still trying to be low carb, so I get the dark choc. I got the milk choc. a year or so ago because the local Aldi didn't have what I usually get. It was good. Compared to the dark choc., really sweet

Broiled in a bottled Jamaican jerk sauce. Perogies with broccoli, cauliflower, parsley, butter, and parmesan. Baked apple/oatmeal crisp later, with coffee.

A true standby here, but only in warm weather and so this will be the last for this year, probably. Ground beef cooked with pinto beans and lots of garlic salt and then mixed with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, shredded cheddar and jack, and then Thousand Island dressing is mixed into all of it. Hot sauce optional. After serving, crumbled tortilla chips on top. (I guess the name comes from the chips...) Someone made this for us in about 1978 and we've been having it ever since!
