Maple-Roasted Chicken Thighs with Sweet Potato Wedges and Brussels Sprouts

Sheet pan dinner I got from Eating Well Test Kitchen site. Love their stuff. And if you want easy...

Kombucha will be ginger, that I made myself.

Dessert: fruit bar (frozen). Trying to get the summer desserts out of the freezer because in comes breaded eggplant slices.

We picked up a porterhouse steak at the West Side Market on Lexington Avenue (it's actually on the East Side!) and it'll be broiled. Meanwhile, we'll baked a couple of potatoes and they'll be served with a dressing the Landlady came up with based on olive oil and spices. Lastly, steamed asparagus. There's a bottle of Burgundy calling out to me...

(Yeah, I know... I'd rather a nice piece of fish too, but Al likes fish sticks, and fresh fish is not affordable for us.)

leftover rice pilaf
Brussels sprouts

it was originally supposed to be an Arrabbiata sauce, but ended up being more of a puttanesca sauce. Anyway, my son had the idea to have it on bread. So I made the sauce and reduced it quite a bit. We had demi loaves of French bread, which I buttered and broiled a bit, then made dents to put the tuna and tomato sauce in, then topped with provolone and broiled til the cheese melted. Steamed broccoli with butter and lemon for a side.

I made a turkey and Swiss cheese on whole wheat late this afternoon

Then a banana and a clementine

Now Ritz crackers with sharp white cheddar and pepper jack

Don't know what is next, if anything, but in the back of my mind is Klondike bar.

thawed a packet of chicken breast - someone did a good job of boning it (sez the chicken butcher). Sliced it into strips, marinated it with cumin, tomato paste, and pepper sauce then sauteed it with onions and peppers.
