What's for Dinner, Sat., May 4, 2024

I'm planting for the next three hours at our community garden, so I'm having the Swiss chard recipe with sausage and cannellinis I made two nights ago. I'm going to add more chard, though, because it was so good with the sausage. I'll add a little more red wine and olive oil. I think because of the saltiness remark that the Washington Post article mentioned, I will have a side of blue cheese stuffed green olives.

I was already over there for several hours transplanting broccoli rabe. Time to go back!

Also, I'm having a toasted artisan bread half with olive oil and sea salt butter.

Dessert is part of a chocolate bar the RG sent me: Venchi Nocciolata Latte (milk chocolate with hazelnut). Dark Chinese tea.

All our chocolate is crafted in Italy, in our production plant in Piedmont and our delicious yet balanced recipes are made with genuine and wholesome ingredients, inspired by the Mediterranean diet. In fact, we never use colorings, preservatives, or artificial ingredients.

Sounds good!

I recall wonderful nocciola gelati in Italy and Spain!

Used sourdough bread to sop up the pot liquor. It’s usually reserved for green beans , but you use what you got.

Cholula makes taco seasoning packets! Was waiting for a lady to move out of the way of the shelf at the store today and saw them.

Ooooh, it's good! Perfect spiciness level.

Cooked ground chuck with the seasoning, and did up some homemade corn tortillas (then ripped 'em into bite sized pieces).

Spinach, onion, tomato, sweet corn, mozzarella and cheddar. A little ranch and a little sour cream and it's a delicious salad!

from Domino's.

Banana peppers, diced tomatoes, fresh baby spinach, fresh onions, feta, provolone and American cheese. On artisan bread and baked. I toast it further, @ home.

((I eliminate feta and American cheese.))
