What's for Dinner, Thurs., Aug. 15, 2024

Shrimpburger on toasted artisan bread half. Yum Yum sauce to go on top.

Zucchine Alla Scapece, using yellow zucchini. I heard about this last year where people were raving about it as a simple way to cook zucchini, saying it was oh so good. I never had a chance to try this recipe because it was too late in the season. It calls for: zucchini sliced on the mandoline, Kosher salt plus:

Freshly ground black pepper
Extra-virgin olive oil
Garlic clove
Fresh mint leaves
Red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar

Pineapple-turmeric kombucha.

Honeydew melon for dessert.

Probably chicken tenders.

We’re seeing a rough-cut preview of a new movie musical starring Jennifer Lopez called “Kiss Of The Spider Woman.” I’m sure the film will be better than the food!

If you did, I'll pass the recipe along to my kids.

I feel feeling like it's Friday, but whatever day, I cleaned out my fridge. I made vegetarian fried rice, and stuffed mushrooms.

I have a couple loaves of bread rising, taking one to my friend tomorrow.

Had ice cream earlier.
