had a steak for din last nite . also saved the bone w some meat left on it. into a baggie and ito the freeer.

going to get some more steaks and save the bones w meat on them. get out my large oval crock pot and simmer for a few hours.

That I separate into small containers and enjoy for frozen leftovers every 3-4 months. My sons favorite meal is grilled cheese sandwiches and the chicken soup.

Made beef stew yesterday in my crock pot and I forgot how delicious beef stew is. Enjoy yours also !

Pressure can the resulting broth and meat and use it to make bean soup. In fact that is what I am starting just now. It is a chilly, rainy, blustery fall day - perfect day for soup and bread. Going to toot my own horn - baked a beautiful sourdough boule this AM. Eating very well without spending much. Actually no $$ today. Everything from pantry or garden.
