Some nice gifts from a friend who is moving.

We have been friends of this guy for about 2.5 years. And hung out with him, providing the occasional mean while his partner passed away from a cancer. Then we helped him through the first year of grief while he sorted out what he wanted to do. He is heading back to England from Munich.
Low and behold I have gotten some fancy bread and baking pans that his partner used. Tonite he came over with 3 LaCrueuset things. One is the tart tatain pan, then a shallow roasting oval and finaly a small pot, 2 quart with the side spout.
My battery du Cuisine is looking up.

Sounds as though you have a true friend who sees a true friend in you.

Sounds as if you really appreciate them and will honor them. I have my husband’s godmother’s pie plates and think of her whenever I use them. I hope you find that same peace.
