Appetizer is cup of tomato basil soup, with fresh basil julienned over the top. The fresh basil makes a big difference. In addition, I add one large cheese tortellini to the soup.
Chicken curry meatballs over couscous. I added sauteed onion and flecks of herbs like parsley to the couscous, plus a squeeze of lemon juice.
Kombucha: ginger.
Dessert: mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows.

(42,512 posts)How much I love Caesar dressing. I think Ill make some tomorrow. If I buy Maries, I add more Hellmans and grated parm, plus more coarsely ground black pepper.
I have laid in a good supply of mayo, though, so Ill probably make my own.

(56,644 posts)homemade or Marzetti's is better, though a new brand showed up at Safeway over xmas - Cardini's (original Tijuana restaurant?) but also seems to be owned by Marzetti's according to label. both good but slightly different taste.

(1,759 posts)Bought some freshly made, thinly sliced seitan turkey from a local vegan restaurant which they also sell for take out, along with their homemade gravy. I heated it up with the gravy and made a baked stuffing with whole wheat bread cubes, celery, onion, mushrooms and herbs. Also had freshly made applesauce and steamed green beans. Comfort food night. Cheers!🥂
