I have been trawling the internet for breakfast ideas, I am coming up with the usual.
I'm bored at the minute with those choices.
I chopped up a big bowl of veggies within the last hour, I have some cooked chicken strips and around 9am, I'm planning on chicken on salad for breakfast around 9 am.
The usual pot of tea will be there as well.

Yet Dunc did find the strength to be in attendance as i was heating up dinner grilled chicken and i shared.

(1,845 posts)Now Im dying. for fruit. The only thing in the fridge is a couple huge pomegranates, which should satisfy that urgeonce I spend the next hour picking the pith out of them.
For now, its the old chocolate-coffee granola to tide me over.

(42,959 posts)Three pears for a pear-watercress salad. I have red, Anjou, and Bosc. I need to pick up some Brie. That's coming up because they're not quite ripe yet.
I'm lucky to have a good Korean greengrocer: I even have blackberries to make my fave sauce from (lemon juice, agave, a little water). It's so good over waffles or yogurt.
Melons: the aforementioned honeydew, but they had cantaloupe at a fairly good price and I was tempted to buy a couple but put it off so I could finish the fruit I have now, which also includes green grapes and CaraCara oranges!

and now Im jonesing for citrus, too. I think its just a natural reaction to winter (even here in Florida) that weve been deprived of fruit and want some NOW.

(19,368 posts)and I am getting ready to pour my second mug on this foggy morning.
I am not hungry now because I woke and felt hungry around the time irisblue started this thread. I ate a turkey sandwich on rye bread with tomato, lettuce and mayo. I was accosted by Ducky looking for his share and shared a piece of turkey. We both went back to bed and slept soundly.
I guess I'll have some cereal with strawberries, banana and almond milk much later this morning.
TJ will be off to work tonight so she'll try to sleep some during the day. My job today is to be quiet and to (unsuccessfully) convince Ducky to be quiet.
