Related: About this forum"Missing" paint formula from the database at Lowe's...
anyone ever encounter this? My local Lowe's says it can't find 94-36A Summer Estate (sort of a dark silver-sage). I took the old can to the hazardous waste dump and didn't copy down the formula. I've scribbled on the actual paint chip and they say they can't match it from that.
Can anyone think of a workaround? Besides starting over with a new color, ha ha. I think I'm going to shoot over later today and buy a quart of the lighter silver-sage on the paint chip, and tinker with that formula to hopefully match what I need.
Thanks.

(11,489 posts)If you have some on a light-switch, stir stick, paint can, etc, you can bring in, they can usually get a match close enough that you can't spot a patch. We did that at Home Depot a few months ago.

they're saying it will be tough.
This paint color was chosen about seven years ago and I can't believe it's wiped from their database. There are two other silver-sages on the paint chip, so I'm going to ask for those formulas and try to deduce what needs to be added. I'm thinking black and/or blue or something to make the color a little deeper. I usually write down formulas, but of course, didn't for this one and I need to do a little touch up.
(Deleted the light-switch comment. Duh... was thinking the actual flipper rather than the piece screwed into the wall. That'll work.)
