Sewing machine to vanity

I had an old beat up sewing machine base and top along with the water-damaged guts to the cabinet laying around, so I thought I'd make lemonade from some lemons.

I made the top hinge from the back, rather than the side, and I built a box out of the cabinet pieces.

I took some of the other cabinet pieces and made them into a frame for a mirror. I hinged the mirror to the top, and made a latch for the bottom. A couple coats of poly later..

When you undo the latch and swing the mirror out, then fold the top down, a groove in the bottom of the mirror rests on the edge of the front.
