Background.
Years ago we did a kitchen rehab and put in Peerless faucets. The faucets were supposed to be guaranteed for life. OK, we had a problem with the kitchen faucet. Called Peerless. We would have to remove the faucet, send it to them and wait for assessment and replacement. Could not wait for --however many weeks without a kitchen faucet. We chose to buy a new one. Choice was MOEN , and glad we did.
Throughout the many years we have had to replace a couple of gaskets and another internal part. Don't really know what to call the parts, but that does not matter. We have hard water and it does a job on the plumbing.
The Customer Service people at MOEN have been great. They have replaced the parts needed without any problem. NO questions asked except for me to explain what the problem was.
Today I called again because I had a pinhole leak in the spout. I wanted to ask about any product I could use to repair the pin hole. No questions from them. They are sending me a new spout.
Last August I had called about a gasket in the hot water intake. No problem, they sent a new one immediately. Again, no questions. I am so impressed with their service. There are so many companies that do not seem to care about service. MOEN has been great. Lifetime guarantee has been properly addressed by them. I will recommend them to anyone doing a home improvement job. Impressive!

(113,131 posts)I learned my lesson in the kitchen years ago.
Moen builds their stuff so it can be repaired. Nobody else seems to. Since our water comes from a mile down, faucets need to be picked apart periodically and all the mineral caked bits removed and replaced. Moen is the only outfit I know of that allows that to be done easily. They also have a rack in the store with all the bits.

A couple plumbing supply houses I deal with won't carry Kohler because Kohler sells to big box stores. They won't display an item that they have to compete with big box retailers selling at big discounts. One rep told me "I can get you Kohler but we refuse to display it"

(11,843 posts)Fixtures in the last building I worked in were Toto and I always had the irrational urge to starting singing "I miss the rains down in Africaaa...". Not something one necessarily wants to do when you are standing shoulder to shoulder with co-workers...

(231 posts)I called the garage door opener company to schedule an appointment for repair. What's wrong, said the lady. I explained. She said, Try cleaning off the photo eye, that's what can cause that. Two minutes walk out to the garage, rub, rub, presto, no more problem, saved me money, cost them a service fee. Thank you Fagan Garage Door company www.fagandoor.com in Rhode Island. They have never been anything but super. Just made the world a little nicer.
