but some of the techniques in this one are a little out-of-the-box hardcore. Who is going to ruin a pair of scissors to stir paint? I have IRL seen people bend up a coat hanger and use it with a drill to stir paint though!

Some of their other suggestions are helpful, like using tinfoil and saran wrap to line painting surfaces, and a lid around your brush to catch drips.
If you need to improvise a paper hat to protect your hair, why are you painting? Get a plastic shower cap or an old hat you don't care about!
And seriously - you can buy a $15 off-brand dustbuster instead of jimmying up a computer fan, a drill, and a 2-liter soda bottle! That one surely was a "stoned on the couch at 2 am and spilled chips" inspiration.
