Another mess here it seems.
I had the house painted about 3 years ago (was to be good for 10 years).
All of the paint is chipping off of the house now and it seems I have no recourse.
The painter is insured and has a $15K bond to his name.
How to I go about going after it? I cannot find an attorney to help.
Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you.

(21,068 posts)He failed to respond in an appropriate manner and asked me where the extra paint was. I wasn't given any so I had some mixed up at ACE hardware and fixed it myself.
Now it is all coming off everywhere and taking the siding with it! YIKES!
I want $15K! That's what this job is going to cost, maybe more! A $20K loan at 15.9% is what the bank offered me. I cannot afford this!
I'm so angry right now I could scream!
Phone is disconnected btw. Good luck getting a hold of someone when you don't have their phone number!
Contractors licensing board, might help..

(21,068 posts)I'll give that one a shot.
I've spoken with two attorneys and both believe that I have a case.
I'll have to locate them.
Thanks again!

Good luck with the project and trying to recover from the prior contractors.
