Another batch of stewed tomatoes are simmering on the stove

And I have PLENTY of San Marzano and Marinara tomatoes for another batch of sauce. That will be simmering, by this time tomorrow.

This has been a really good tomato year. Now I wish I'd been more adventurous. Peppers are so so but there's enough. I'm really looking forward to this Winter's batches of Chili, Curry, Stew and lovely pasta dinners.

Nothing better than harvesting the fruits of your garden, cooking, canning and freezing the harvest to savor in the cold winter months.

They're certainly stewing and simmering about now.

Seriously, good on you. There's nothing like that cold, stormy day, wondering about what to make for dinner while knowing the answer is on a shelf or in the freezer.

I don't think it will be a good year for us...maybe it's been too hot, dunno.

The freezer if filling up with containers, and we will be making Chili and pasta dishes with our own tomatoes and peppers all winter long also.
