2 questions

anyone here doing vermicomposting or worm farming? I started a 80 qt cooler of worms and shreddings a month ago. The worms seem to be doing the 3 neccessary things to produce what they're supposed to. Anyone have input?

Is anyone south enough to grow Dragon Fruit? What mistakes and what positives have you learned..I am zone 12A / Pinellas

There are quite a few DUers here in St Pete. I think it has something to do with the downtown, the music scene, the pier, and the weather.

One of these days we'll have to have a meet up. Demens Landing would be a great spot and I think it has outdoor grills for picniccing.

I have two of these:

but I haven't gotten them started yet.

I did a good deal of vermicomposting in years past, so I know a bit about it. Back then I made my own worm bins. I don't know if the ones shown in the picture will make harvesting the compost easier or not, but that was the one thing that was time consuming about it. I can remember standing there for hours sifting out the worms to get my compost.

On the other hand, there is nothing like this compost. I grew morning glories with leaves the size of a human hand, a large one!

I'll be able to compare notes with you soon, though.
