Im beginning to plan my flower beds and, while I was googling deer resistant options, ran across Bidens. Id never heard of them, but theyre daisy-like annuals that come in yellow, orange, and white. Theyre apparently closely related to, but not exactly the same as, coreopsis. Im going to seek them out just for the name.

(8,089 posts)Bidens are prolific flowering plants with yellow or orange daisy-like blooms; newer biden varieties have pink, gold, and white blossoms.

(92,669 posts)I have heard of them and seen them but never connected the two. I think I'll plant those this year too.

(72,475 posts)You plant them by seed. 3 to 6 feet tall. Blooms in late summer or early fall. Also called Bur marigold.
