Shopping for Disease-Resistant Cucumbers and Got a Laugh

Had to share:

I have a list of powdery mildew resistant cucumbers and was searching the suppliers, in this case Fedco, and came upon one on the list: General Lee. However, it appeared as "Generally" at Fedco's page. When I clicked it, I got the explanation:

We had intended to drop General Lee because of the name, but this esteemed cuke received a reprieve when the supplier gave us permission rename it!

See for yourself. Put in "Generally" and click for "read more."

Grows onions and carrots. He told me the seeds sold to the public are not the best. The big farmers get the best. Who knew?

so there's no way to determine what's "best."

Seed companies buy from breeders, so really, it's kind of irrelevant who you buy from.
