Are you sure they are female plants?
If you do bring them in, they will need the proper light and soil. I did it once but they do go thru some growth shock and I don't think they were as good as they should have been.

And provide supplemental lights they would likely do ok. The biggest issue is maintaining the necessary 12/12 blooming light cycle indoors without a dedicated growing room.

If they aren't ripe, you are wasting a lot of potential. First, you have to determine what the qualities you are after of a particular sample; do you like that "electric" feeling that some give you, or are you more a fan of the dopey, dreamy effect? The earlier harvest typically provides the first, and the later harvest, the second. I far preferred the second.

You might be able to use a large magnifying glass, but I much preferred a small, hand-held microscope. If the trichomes are pointy, that's pretty early, at least for me. When they develop little bulbous "heads", they are getting ready for harvest, and when those capitate trichomes turn milky or a light tan colour, they are really ready.

They are pretty hardy, especially the Indica variety, but definitely don't let them freeze. In fact, don't store even your dried bud in a freezer - cool, dark and dry is the best environment for drying, then storage. Many of those strains are from the mountains of Afghanistan, for example, and it's not exactly a tropical getaway.

Best of luck! I kinda miss those days of my past, but I don't use it myself any more, and there is little money in it because of legalization.

I apologize if I've told you a bunch of info you already know, but it's better than not knowing. Best of luck with your endeavour!

In Michigan you apparently can grow 6 plants per person. I have no idea if they're female or not. There aren't any buds on them, just leaves. And I haven't gotten high in years, so if I harvest it, I may just give it away.

The plant is an annual (pretty much) and it should be flowering shortly. Pull the male plants,
do not fertilize them, water 1 time per week @ a trickle for about an hour, cut back on the watering
after you see the female flowers because that will make the plant secret more resins which have
THC in them, and watch out for deer. The leaves are good for making brownies….. fry them in
butter 1st until they smoke and you get a black goo to mix in with the brownies before you back
them.

Ok so I might have lived the life back in the day.

Upper part down to where there were few little buds then potted up the remaining plant. Once inside I put it in a corner with lights on all the time to return it back to vegetation state instead of flowering. Then when the soil warmed to at least 70 I transplanted it outside.( that's about mothers day in zone 5) guess I could have gone on like that and should have, but I didn't I harvestedall of it's second crop.
