But just found out they are tropical - native to Asia, Aftrica and the northern nether regions of Oz. I'm guessing Geelong has it in a heated, controlled environment to encourage and prolong flowering. *Just a guess!

Geelong, like where I live, is on the southern coastline of Australia; winter weather, and indeed some springs can be quite chilly.
