Your garden looks nice. Cant say Ive heard of many of those plants.
It was 102 degrees here in S Texas yesterday, with a heat index of 124. Not much is going to grow under those conditions, and you dont want to be gardening outside.

The mulch will keep the weeds down.
Are these returning fairies or new fairies? Did they leave in a huff over the weeds last year?

They were removed for the winter a few years ago, then the weeds took over for several years. We are turning over a new leaf.
