I have bunches of seeds, and am looking forward to seed-sharing, and to begin sowing seeds in December.

(13,454 posts)Winter sowing sounds interesting. Will look into it, thanks.
I used to winter sow all the time and hung around that forum for years.
It works! Two things to take into consideration, though:
1) you need a sunny but out of the way place to store all your containers. When I was on that forum, a number of members had complaints from the neighbors, homeowner's associations, etc. That is because all those containers are an unsightly mess.
2) Patience. You would be absolutely amazed at how long it takes some seeds to come up.
But still, it's fun and I would encourage you to try it.

I never had success growing from seed, now I have so much success, I always have more plants than I can handle and give them away.
