Who cares what the shape of the produce is, as long as it is fresh and grown by your own hand and is tasty. I guess aesthetics matter to some. I would just end up chopping them up for dinner.

I picked a few like that today. I have heard that too many funky shaped carrots can mean not enough thinning or compact soil. I have soil that despite being very full of compost, is quite compact. My imperator type carrots did fine but my Nantes, not so much. They look like the picture above, LOL.
