I think there must be a resurgence in landscape trimming jobs in Spokane. Fiskar trimmers,

the ones like you might trim your flowers with:


are in multiple boxes on the contractors side at Home Depot, other side of the store from the garden center. I never knew all these carpenter types had such green thumbs.

I could be incorrect, because many is the time I have said "honey, look, a pair of shears, just what I was wanting" as I left with my 2x4s. Still, it is heartening.

And Home Depot, that bastion of self-congratulated moral behavior, is leading the charge.
