Monarch watchers: I saw three Monarchs on my zinnias yesterday!

I felt like I was in a dream, they were so beautiful!

Of course my camera was in the house.

I am in western PA. I have a small patch of milkweeds not far from the zinnias. I had three caterpillars and one adult Monarch earlier this summer. I wonder if the adults I saw today were those former caterpillars?

I hope I'm helping them in my small way.

I truly believe in the collective power of each of us doing what we can. As a fellow butterfly gardener (also on a small scale), thank you for doing your part!

the Admirals are flitting about on wild native flowers at the back perimeter of the garden and they do love zinnias too.
