It's November 7, I'm in northern New England, and I just picked jalapeno peppers

out of my garden. How bizarre is that? I picked a big bunch of chard, too. Next year I'm going to start some tomato plants in July in case this cycle repeats itself. My tomato plants died of old age a month ago!

Earlier this week I picked the last of the green peppers, but those plants still look okay, too. I think tonight will end them though. It's going to be down in the 20's.

We do get decent tomatoes from Maine in the winter, though. Love the "Backyard Beauties."
