Bumper crop this year. I have Scaley Bark, Ali Baba, and some Crimson Sweets that re-seeded from last year. The Scaley's are all at least 30 pounds. If one lasts me 3 days, you know its huge! All are luscious.
I gave this wagon full to the guy that cuts my grass to set up his own roadside stand.

(10,118 posts)We had watermelon with virtually every meal during the two weeks we were there. Watermelon stands lined the roads everywhere we went, and I have never, before or since, eaten watermelon as sweet as those we found in China.

The cantaloupes I grow in this same field were the best ever too. Not very big, but incredibly sweet. I think they were Hale's.
