What's left in your garden between summer and fall?

Most of its done or looking pretty bedraggled, but I still have a few things. Woke up this morning to a lovely freshly-mown grass and flower scented breeze ruffling the curtains.....

Chippendale Daisies ?1
Hollyhocks
Dahlias
Moss Roses
Petunia Basket
Nasturtium Basket
Rose of Sharon
Peppers
Watermelons ?1
Huge Warty Gourds
Pumpkins coming in way too early. Big ones are already splitting

And veggies and some mighty cute pets, as well!

I am envious of that watermelon. The ones in the stores now just aren't very good, and I love love love watermelon! And those dahlias are just stunning!

I still have hot wax peppers, parsley, and a few bunches of endive. My impatiens containers are starting to wither. Just the ones in the ideal locations still look nice.

I wish I could plant more flowers. Yours are so beautiful. My yard, with the exception of the veggie garden, is mostly shade and flowering plants just don't thrive in shade.

Thank you for the beautiful photos!

I'm lucky to have plenty of space here for gardening on our little farm. I turned the entire front yard into a huge flower garden, all in the sun. I've been working on it for the past 3 years now, and still have a terrible problem with weeds. Next year, I swear to do really DEEP mulch.

about the only thing that survived the OK summer was me.
The peppers and eggplants are still hanging on by a thread. They keep getting smaller and smaller. Basil still looks good but the rest is a pile of sticks.
Best crop of the year was peaches.

I got nothing but weeds. Everything has burned up.

There are probably a few figs, watermelons, the 2nd crop of black-eyed peas. 3 house kitties and 1 indoor/outdoor kitty, plus a chocolate lab and brindle terrier who live next door but stay over here most of the time.
