This spring and summer: now is a real good time for homeowners' associations

and local municipalities to drop their rules and regulations against property owners growing gardens anywhere on their property. We can most certainly use the food, and it will keep many of us busy.

We were friends with a family whose kids played with ours. Their homeowners association prohibited backyard inflatable kiddie pools and vegetable gardens. I still can’t understand why these things were not allowed. Indeed it would be the right time now to get rid of these rules.
