There is a church up the block that offers a "trunk and treat"... it gets candy to the kids, true... but to me, it totally misses the whole magick and fun of halloween... walking the blocks, begging for candy, out away from mom and dad for a few hours. We gave our kids a couple of hours of what it felt like to be "Free"... and I remember how good that felt when I was a kid. Now it's just big parties.

But no doubt, it does my dog's heart good! He's the kind that barks at every errant leaf that blows up on the porch. If he were inundated with door bell ringing and strange kids in weird masks at the door, I just don't know if he could handle it! (LOL)

I bought a combo bag of mini bars. They are the perfect combo from York mint patties to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Pumpkins. Even Almond Joys.

The hours in Flint Township are from 5 to 8. I have a front door camera to alert me if ANYONE shows up.
