That's not to say I don't care about people; I do. I just care about animals more. Animals have never hurt me or betrayed me or let me down and people have.

The original dogs were nasty animals that would rather eat you than wag their tails at you.
But generations of selective breeding have turned them into friendly and sociable companions.
The happy tail waggers got to be parents, the snarly ones didn't.
Too bad we couldn't have done that with the human race really.
