Related: About this forumArthur has a MAJOR case of Krazy Kitten, this morning
He was such a snuggle bug last night, and for a short while this morning. Then it was like a switch flipped and he was on a jumping, grabbing, gnawing rampage! My feet, legs, hands and arms were all equally in peril. Not to mention his own tail! It was pretty funny although I'd rather have been sleeping at 4am. (I had a bad night, mostly due to SCOTUS related anxiety and fury.) Madoc and Gryff fled the bed, abandoning me to the tiny beast.
He did eat a good breakfast, along with some of his brother's breakfasts. I've resorted to mixing kitten food into ALL of the bowls, along with some adult food and I'm mixing kitten kibble into the 'complete' kibble I give the big boys. I always leave some of that out for them, during the day, and twice a day they get wet food. Arthur gets both types of food three times a day.
It's going to be another scorcher today so no yard work will be done. Hopefully I can take a nap without risking being gnawed. Maybe I should have named him Mordred instead of Arthur!!

(119,309 posts)at the moment. I suspect that he was picking up on your anxiety and fury. I know that my boy snuggled close yesterday.
Gryff and Madoc were unusually cuddly, yesterday. Well, Gryff is ALWAYS in the mood for a snuggle but Madoc was in the same mood.
I suspect Arthur will soon crash for several hours. He's been pretty much non stop romping since 4, this morning.

(119,309 posts)I have now, when she was a kitten, was zooming around the house all the time, especially in the morning. She would come full speed towards me as I was sitting on the couch reading the paper and jump at the lamp(shade) beside me. I cannot tell you the number of times I had to save that lamp as well as one in the bedroom! I had never had a cat that did that. Thankfully after several months she stopped attacking the lamps.
