Puppy update! 8 month old Maybee took her first swim in a river.
It was a blue bird day here in western Montana. I didn’t think Mabes would jump in and fetch a stick but her big sister is a lab so she’s got a great teacher. Maybee rode on my pontoon boat across the Clearwater River and back a few times….she’s such a great sidekick. I was relieved we didn’t have a bear to deal with today. We were in grizzly country but we had bear spray on us just in case. Perfect Sunday. I love her so much.

You're fortunate to be in a area like that (in the summer)...I could no longer tolerate the winters.
I’ve lived here my whole life and I’m not sure I want to move snow until I’m dead. May through October however…there’s nothing like Montana….6 months of heaven….more if you ski.
There were many color choices but I chose the pink color…I knew none of my boys would borrow it!
The Bitterroot Mountains are amazing…and definitely grizzly country now. Hope all went well for them.
there was a verified sighting at a golf course near Stevensville...they wander back and forth between Idaho and MT. I love that they're here...I know everyone doesn't share my enthusiasm.

Don't forget hubby either! At 67, he just recovered from a broken neck, yes, in February, obtained skiing! So - 2 badasses.
I, on the other hand, stayed home and kept things at the ranch running. That would be, small hobby ranch. 
And such a smart girl! Looks like beautiful country (I'm in the southern Adirondacks and know what you mean about the snow. *sigh*) Thanks so much for sharing with us!
