I heard a sharp, kittenish MEW!!! and thought the boys were roughhousing with Arthur. Nope. The cry for help came from Gryff!! Arthur had him pinned while doing rapid little bunny kicks and gnawing on his neck!
Gryff came running to me for help and Arthur was hot on his heels. A full blown wrestling match broke out in the kitchen, WHILE I was trying to make breakfast. There was no doubt as to who was the aggressor.
And what about Madoc, you might ask. He was breadloafing in the hallway, watching the melee play out. The expression on his face said 'You learned well, Grasshopper.'
Life is definitely going to be VERY interesting with these boys.

(35,560 posts)With the old cat). The victim cries and growls but the aggressor persists. After a year of waiting for the victim to learn to fight back, I have decided I have to intervene. I use a spritz of water sometimes, but what works best is a one or two minute time out. Near-feral will then rejoin the room calmlyfor a few hours . They are all loves though; its just the youngest has so much energy!

(27,004 posts)Arthur is still much smaller but fearless. I worried that Gryff might get a bit too aggressive in fighting back, but it's amazing to watch how restrained he seems to be. And, when Arthur's back was turned Gryff returned the favor. Just briefly, but now Arthur has set his sights on a paper wad and the roller ball toy.
Earlier this morning he was ambushing me. Now he wants snuggles. It is so much fun watching him grow and learn.

(23,613 posts)any one to take out her kitten energy on (besides me). So she stalked and attacked her stuffed toy kitty. Same moves that you describe with Arthur and Gryff. It looked brutal for such a little kitten, teeth in the neck, back claws pummeling Fluffy (the stuffed cat).
