Related: About this forumSad job this morning.
Little Lilly merged with the universe last night. She was old for a cat and had kidney problems. So happy that she went peacefully last night.
This morning I made a very nice coffin out of an old cedar box that was the perfect sized and wrapped her in a pink towel.

Lily knew that she was loved.
And what pets really learn living with us
humans..they discover that humans want unconditional love
and so do they.

(666 posts)Perfect sentiments.
She must have been a perfect joy in this life.
The universe is a really big place.
With any luck perhaps we can all follow her to wherever she is going.
It's good that she was able to spend this time with you.

(5 posts)Think of the good times and try to forget the bad. As a cat lover I know how you are feeling. She would be happy to have the nice coffin and a pink towel. She wouldn't want you to be sad.

(52,259 posts)Meaning of the name Lilly/Susan
Meaning:Lily flower; Pure; Rebirth; Passion
The love that instantly blossoms between parent and baby is one of nature's greatest gifts. Lilly is a classic girl's name of Latin origin, which stems from the lily flower. This elegant name comes from the Latin word "Lilium," with multiple life-affirming meanings, including "pure," "rebirth," and "passion." Lilly also has roots in British culture and is often spelled Lily. With so many beautiful interpretations to choose from, your little Lilly will undoubtedly bloom into the brightest petal!
Your baby was the most beautiful petal of a pure flower.
