To be honest, I can't believe this hasn't happened before.
I poured some coffee beans into the grinder. They thought I was pouring out more kibble and they came racing into the kitchen.
Then I hit the grinder button and the race to exit the kitchen was MUCH faster than the one to enter. It kind of looked like a cartoon where they elevated, their feet were scrambling, but it took a second or two before their feet actually made contact with the floor!
In my defense, there's nothing quite like coffee made from freshly ground beans.

And, absolutely agree on freshly-ground beans.

In a situation like that, Ember would later sneak up on the coffee grinder when it was not operating and give it a hard swat. It's what she did to the vacuum cleaner.

(27,299 posts)So I'm shifting things, dusting, vacuuming and using the steam cleaner. The boys are both fascinated and frightened. Of course, when I put fresh sheets on the bed, the door will be closed. It's difficult enough with one sheet chasing feline. Three would make it an impossible task.

(24,430 posts)I pulled the fitted sheet over Ember once, thinking it would make her move. She loved it and curled up underneath it until I pulled her out.
