I was recommended this for my 70 pound 12 yr old Golden who has been diagnosed with cancer and has rear end mobility issues to the point where she cant climb stairs so..since APRIL..Ive been sleeping on the downstairs sofa to assist her as needed. I just dont know the dosage and the container just mentioned human doses.

(14,673 posts)with my arthritic spine and hips. I remember people saying the chondroitin helps Shepards with hip problems...YMMV works for me..

(13,230 posts)I use the "Cosequin Maximum Strength plus MSM" chewable tablets for two of my dogs daily. Just throw it in their food

(3,010 posts)I would put one tablet of each in their food whenever I fed them. There are generic versions of these meds. You should also ask your vet about Carprofen for pain. There's lots of info at the links below along with questions from other users that you might find helpful. Good luck with your Golden! I hope she feels better.
