Finally seeing all three kittens playing, again

When they first came inside it was just Gwyn who was really comfortable and playful. Yesterday I noticed a shift in Carys and she's no longer retreating when I walk in the room. In fact, she's getting very playful, too.

Eira, who was playful when outside really went into a shell once she was in the playpen. But last night she started to get more comfortable and this morning she's starting to play with the cat teaser.

They all have a healthy appetite and things are processing through their system with no difficulty. Trust me. I clean that litter box.

Today will be another day of me cuddling them. I think I'll move the play pen into the den because we've got some cold nights ahead. I'll just have to do a little reconfiguring of the furniture layout.

Just needed a little time to adapt to new sights, sounds, and scents. And to feel secure in a safe space.

Now that the initial shock of my friend testing positive has passed, the stress and anxiety has taken over. Although I tested negative, that could change in the next few days. I'm adding Ativan to my morning medication and supplement routine.

When I went to pick up her Rx, I let the pharmacist know what's going on and she didn't see any reason for me to NOT get the latest booster, so I did. But I also know that takes a few weeks to really kick in. I've read that people who had little to no reaction to the other vaccinations and boosters got a bit more of a kick from this one so I'm not going anywhere, today.

So, this morning I feel fine. Hopefully that will continue. She's going to sleep for as long as she can so I don't expect to see her until late morning.

Keep calm and play with kittens. Interaction with animals is a good stress buster, keep it up.

And Eira NAILED me a good one when I tried to catch her.

So I decided to not stress about Carys. She'll show up or the boys will out her. I was in the 'powder room' (yes, that's what it is called on the house plans) when I heard a disturbance in the floor cabinet. Sure enough, there she was. It took me a while but I managed to catch her and then sat down and gave her tons of snuggles.

And glad they are showing such spirit, even though exhausting for you.

9. Spooky is the mother of the first two (Madoc and his litter mates and Arthur and his siblings)

Scooter is the mother of these three. She was in the first littler of kittens I saw, about 4 years ago, and she is the only survivor.

Scooter's mother is Skittish, who is a tabby.
