Only thing my cat plays with is string of any kind. Got him a stick with a feather on it and he's happy.

I've bought her every conceicable toy I could find to get her moving, all to no avail.

Of course, if a mouse or moth got into the house, that might be more likely to tantalize her.

There was some novel curiosity towards it from my cats, but they ignore it now. Our two male cats got more mileage out of a ping-pong ball toy, but it didn't provide them with a lot of exercise. You might want to try a laser pointer or some sort of fishing lure type of toy. I think the best way to get your cat moving is going to involve you more than one of these things. I would save your money and skip the flopping fish toy. Anyway, that's my two cents. Whatever you get, I hope that you and your cat do well!

When it's not moving (and hasn't moved for a while) he'll rub up against it for the catnip, but he's not all that keen on running/jumping at it.

Most successful exerciser in our household is a cat dancer or fishing pole toy with a human on the other end, near a staircase.

I've tried every type of toy imaginable, all to no avail.

I'm always "rewarded with a "Don't infantalize me!" Look. 😓

She is now well over 16 lbs & absolutely demands to eat about every 3 hrs. I try to stretch out feedings, not only to reduce caloric intake, but to increase activity.

She starts opening & slamming cabinet doors, shoving things off tables, etc., etc. when she wants food.

One vet thought she was depressed, so she rxd compounded transdermal meds to rub on ears. That had no effect.

I've ordered the fish, as she is a "kucker-type" of kitty. Also ordered high quality Japanese silvervine powder. I'll make hot water & put powder in, then funnel into squirt bottle to spray a few times / week. I hope it works! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

I'm very hopeful she will prove to be in the reported 80% who experience a stimulant effect from the Japanese silvervine. I'd never heard of it before.
